The M1 Carbine is a .30 caliber semi-automatic rifle. This rifle has many variants including the M1A1, M2, and the M3. The M1 Carbine series is often regarded as one of the most prolific American firearms developed during and for the Second World War. It was produced in large quantities during the war and would earn a reputation for reliability and adaptability in the harshest of battlefield conditions (Staff Writer). After many trials, it became the light rifle of choice for the United States Army.
